ONGOING PROJECTS

Sustainable Business Hub continuously runs or participates in 10-15 projects in order to create benefits for our members and work towards the global sustainability goals.

 

We try to work with a mix of projects such as knowledge-raising projects, acceleration and matchmaking projects, test beds and export projects. At the same time, we try to cover different areas such as climate, sustainable urban development, sustainable construction, circular economy, water and sewerage and waste.

Blue Green City Lab
Blue Green City Lab is a test bed that aims to evaluate both established and not yet proven blue-green solutions. The solutions can be evaluated theoretically or in a real environment, on roofs, walls and open ground surfaces. The test bed matches builders and property owners with suppliers of solutions. The test bed also offers advice, training and the development of maintenance plans.

Circular Builders

För att minska byggnaders klimatavtryck och resursförbrukning krävs cirkulära lösningar som tar hänsyn till hela värdekedjan från utvinning av råvaror, tillverkning av material, själva byggnadsprocessen till rivning av byggnaden och tillvaratagandet av material. I Circular Builders vill vi påskynda utvecklingen och implementeringen av sådana lösningar genom att använda offentlig efterfrågan hos kommuner som en accelerator.

e-Flex - digital plattform för handel och styrning av energi

I projektet e-Flex – digital plattform för handel och styrning av energi, testas ett nytt angreppssätt för att göra energisystemet både mer miljövänligt och mer robust. Kärnan är utvecklingen av en digital plattform där energi köps och säljs. Både fjärrvärme, fjärrkyla och el kommer att handlas på plattformen. I förlängningen hoppas vi att lösningen ska kunna spridas till fler kunder och kopieras av andra energibolag och kommuner. Under projektperioden utvecklas och testas plattformen på ett antal fastigheter på Lunds sjukhusområde.

EU Techbridge
The EU Techbridge project works to accelerate internationalization and increase exports for small and medium-sized companies in energy and water and sewerage. The USA and Canada are the two designated markets that we work towards. During the project period, we will organize five acceleration rounds with 1: 1 meetings with potential business partners in the USA and Canada.

FUTURE
In the FUTURE project, we investigate how energy and resources can be used so that as little as possible is wasted. Techniques and tools are developed and tested in seven innovative case studies on both the Swedish and Danish side. A flexible energy system and circular flows for materials are the goal. Waste heat and waste cooling are utilized and materials are reused and recycled in new cycles.

Greater Copenhagen Cleantech Impact Accelerator
In the project, we help start-ups and micro companies to get ready for the market. We convey knowledge about laws, rules, certification requirements, where there is funding to apply for and how to validate your product technically. Meetings with investors and large companies with concrete needs are arranged.

Greater Copenhagen Green Deal

In the project, eight concrete challenges for green transition will be identified together with ideas for solutions to these. After the end of the project, the challenges and ideas will be taken forward by four new innovation forums that will be created during the project. The forums will consist of participants from both Sweden and Denmark

Greater Bio
Municipalities today have organic residual products in the form of seaweed, grass clippings, garden waste, food waste, etc. that cost money to take care of. In Greater Bio, we investigate which biomasses can be used to produce energy and new materials and which provide profitability. A tool will be developed to make it easier for municipalities to assess how they can best use the residual products.

Green Bond 2

The project is a development of the previous project Green Bond. We will work to develop formaldehyde-free binders for chipboard and wood composite. The binder will be based on protein from rapeseed cake, the residual product in the production of rapeseed oil. In the project, we will test binders both in the laboratory and at pilot level. Today, the seed cake is used, among other things, for animal feed and as a substrate in biogas production.

Low Temperature District Heating for the Baltic Sea Region (LowTemp)
The goal of LowTemp is to make district heating more sustainable in countries around the Baltic Sea. Some are about installing district heating networks for low temperatures, fourth generation district heating. Another part is about introducing heat from geoenergy, solar heat and residual heat from industrial processes into the district heating system.

Northern Connections
Through concrete projects with actual investments, Northern Connections provides companies with direct contacts with need owners. The projects are presented at events, Living Labs, where companies can pitch their products and solutions to both private and public actors. The need owners get an overview of what is on the market and companies get business opportunities..

Rest to Best
The basic idea of ​​the Rest to Best project is to take care of organic residues and produce a useful product, biochar. The properties of biochar as a plant substrate are evaluated both through analyzes of the carbon and cultivation experiments. The project also evaluates the potential of biochar as a carbon sink. We will also review new uses for biochar to make it more profitable to produce carbon.

Smart City Sweden
Smart City Sweden's goal is to increase exports from Swedish companies by showcasing the best sustainable solutions in Sweden, our best practices. An important part of Smart City Sweden is the follow-up of business opportunities after the delegations have left Sweden. A special business development group assesses which visits have the greatest opportunity to generate business. Those with the greatest chance can be followed up with counter-visits or pre-studies.

Öresund Match

Öresund Match makes it easier and less time-consuming for SMEs to get in touch with the right expertise in research. The idea is simple, the company talks about its needs for eg Sustainable Business Hub or IUC Syd. After a contact chain, the company is matched with the right expertise. The company does not have to spend time looking through the large research institutions to find the right person.
