Join in on the final LowTEMP conference! For the International Conference Transformation of District Heating over 120 experts from all over Europe will be expected to participate. The conference will take a European perspective on low temperature district heating and present results from the Interreg BSR project LowTEMP. Different actors from science and research, representatives from associations and municipalities, politicians as well as actors from the private sector will present pilot projects and best-practice examples and discuss current developments that are important for the European district heating sector with regard to low-temperature networks. Even though the participants will not be physically present in Hamburg, Jens Kerstan , Hamburg Senator for environmental issues, will welcome the virtual audience and Christian Maaß , CEO of Hamburg Institut Consulting, will present the city’s strategy on district heating and urban development. In the keynote, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ingo Weidlich , HafenCity University, will address potentials and challenges of the implementation of low temperature district heating in Germany. EU-Ukraine Sunrise Genom nätverkande och matchmaking mellan små och medelstora företag ska projektet EU-Ukraine Sunrise: Empowering Safe and Sustainable Energy through Clusters Collaboration in EU and Ukraine leda till mer förnybar energiproduktion och säkra, resilienta energisystem i såväl Ukraina som resten av Europa. Kluster från sex europeiska länder deltar i det två-åriga projektet, som finansieras av EU-kommissionen. Som del av projektet ska Sustainable Business Hub bygga upp en databas för att identifiera och sammanföra små och medelstora företag i Europa. E-FLEX - digital plattform för handel och styrning av energi I projektet e-Flex – digital plattform för handel och styrning av energi, testas ett nytt angreppssätt för att göra energisystemet både mer miljövänligt och mer robust. Kärnan är utvecklingen av en digital plattform där energi köps och säljs. Både fjärrvärme, fjärrkyla och eleffekt kommer att handlas på plattformen. Målsättningen med projektet är att skapa ett flexiblare energisystem genom en ökad samverkan mellan energibolag och fastighetsägare. Många fastighetsägare sitter på en outnyttjad resurs i form av spillvärme, som kan komma till nytta i det överliggande energisystemet. Likaså kan fastighetsägare bidra genom att vara flexibla i när de använder värme, el och kyla. Vinsten för energibolaget är att energisystemen avlastas vid tidpunkter då efterfrågan är hög. Det ger ett mer klimatsmart och robust energisystem. Fastighetsägarna å sin sida får en ökad möjlighet att samoptimera sin värme-, kyla- och elanvändning och kan minska sina energikostnader. När de kan styra sin energianläggning innebär det att de kan minska sin klimatpåverkan och stärka sin gröna profil. Under projektperioden utvecklas och testas plattformen på ett antal fastigheter på Lunds sjukhusområde. När projektet är slut hoppas vi ha fått fram ett säkert och replikerbart digitalt verktyg för handel av energi som kan kommersialiseras och spridas, både i mindre skala och på stadsnivå. Solutions to recycle Single-use Sanitary Safety tisdag 17 oktober 2023 0:00 em 13:30 Online dialogue Market dialogue with Institut Català de la Salut on reusing and recycling single-use sanitary safety materials. In a previous workshop Institut Català de la Salut (ICS), presented its needs, experience and challenges of reusing and recycling single-use sanitary safety material. Now companies are invited to discuss their solutions under development or solutions already existing on the market, with ICS. Please note, that the meeting is free of charge but registration is mandatory. Register no later than 12 October. The dialogue is an activity within the BRINC project. In the project we work to get municipalities to identify their needs for innovation procurement for circular solutions and bring together their procurement units with companies. BRINC is co-funded by the COSME programme of the European Union. Background To ensure the safety of patients and healthcare personnel, large quantities of health safety materials and single-use personal protection are used, which must be discarded once they have fulfilled their purpose. Institut Català de la Salut (ICS) is the biggest public healthcare provider in Catalonia with 8 Hospitals, 332 Primary Care Centres, 617 rural Medical offices and 52.000 professionals and consume large quantities of disposable sanitary safety items. On average per month: 60,000 gowns 30,000 aprons 200,000 surgical drapes, sheets, and other cloths 1,000,000 masks 17,000,000 gloves 400,000 caps, pants, gloves, and other protective equipment A total of approx. 13,500 tonnes/year. Apart from the 8 hospitals, ICS also manages a network of more than 900 Primary Care Centers and Local Consultations, which, to a lesser extent but with larger geographical coverage, also generate this type of waste. After having arranged an online workshop in June to learn more about the reuse and recycling of single-use sanitary safety materials representatives of ICS are now interested in a dialogue with relevant companies to discuss existing solutions and solutions under development for recycling of single-use sanitary safety material and therefore we are contacting you. ISC's goal with the workshop is to learn more about the current and potential solutions and solution providers available on the market and obtain valuable information to further develop and refine the functional specifications in the upcoming procurement. The following aspects are of importance: The different sanitary safety items (gloves, masks, aprons etc.) are not sorted into different fractions but mixed. The materials are of plastic origin, but of different types (polyethylene, polypropylene, latex, nitrile, vinyl, neoprene, etc.) which can be mixed. The materials have had a sanitary use and are classified as Group II sanitary waste, with a low biological risk, but may need a biological decontamination treatment before being valued. Anmälan

Utilization of hemp in new business models torsdag 18 april 2024 0:30 em 14:00 Online Get an insight of the multiple purposes of the hemp plant and the story of how two new products have reached the market. Industrial hemp is one of the most interesting plants providing strong fibers for textile, building materials, composites e.g., besides high value products from the hemp top. Recently new breakthroughs have come with utilization of hemp fibers in new business models, such as insulation materials from EKOLUTION in Sweden and launching of the hemp chair by Normann Copenhagen, processed in Denmark. The unique hemp plant has high yields, can be grown in Denmark as well as Sweden, the whole plant can be used in a number of sustainable products all with negative CO2-print and with a circular value chain. Funding innovation through public procurement torsdag 30 maj 2024 8:00 fm 09:00 Teams Learn how an innovation procurement can be designed in a way that optimizes the benefit for both the procuring authority and the participating companies by using remuneration for the participating companies. For many small and medium sized companies, the cost of engaging and participating in innovation procurement can be high, and thus participation can feel risky. But for the companies that take the chance, there is great potential to get a first contract for their innovative solutions. However, an important factor for this to happen is that there are procuring authorities who understand that they can use their own demand as a driving force for innovation. But even so, how do you get involved as a company and how can you afford to develop products when the need of the buyer is not decided? In this webinar, Ms Carolin Maule from Compare present how an innovation procurement can be designed in a way that optimizes the benefit for both the procuring authority as well as the participating companies by using remuneration of the participating companies as an incentive. In this way, not only the winning company is a winner, but all companies involved also get the chance to develop products for an existing need, while at the same time, receiving some remuneration. In innovation-promoting procurement, the procuring entity defines its needs in terms of functional requirements instead of referring to standards, and the tenderers (entrepreneurs) can also present new types of solution models in their tenders. Participating in an innovation procurement brings the entrepreneur closer to the user and target the actual value. ARCADIA Projektet ARCADIA svarar på Europas växande behov av klimatanpassning i skuggan av allt vanligare extremväder och ekosystemförändringar. Ett regionalt partnerskap för Skåne har samlats för att under 2024-2027 utveckla och sprida resiliens mot klimatförändringar, med en grund i innovativa blågröna och naturbaserade lösningar. Område : cirkulär resurshantering Typ av projekt : kunskapshöjande Mer om projektet Circular South Baltic Circular South Baltic arbetar för en cirkulär och ekonomiskt hållbar omställning inom bygg- och anläggningssektorn, med särskilt fokus på små och medelstora företag. Projektet överför teknologier och kunskaper mellan marknader i regionen runt södra Östersjön genom att bygga kontakter mellan företagsaktörer inom innovativa cirkulära bygglösningar. Modellen kommer både att kunna visa hur det ser ut i dag och kunna simulera olika framtidsscenarier. Ett utbildningsmaterial tas fram som kommuner runt Östersjön kan använda när de planerar för en energiomställning. Område : energi Typ av projekt : matchmaking Mer om projektet EnergyCircle Mot bakgrund av oroligheterna i världen har länderna i Östersjöområdet ett akut behov att skapa en långsiktig och hållbar plan för att skapa ett oberoende av import av energi. EnergyCircle kommer att arbeta med att ta fram verktyg och metoder för hur olika aktörer ska kunna driva arbetet framåt. En annan trend är att kommuner får en allt viktigare roll i klimatomställningen. I Energy Equilibrium riktar vi oss mot kommuner och energileverantörer för att stödja dem i arbetet med att använda de förnybara energikällor som finns i regionen. Arbetet centreras kring den digital plattform som kommer att utvecklas. Område : energi Typ av projekt : kunskapshöjande Mer om projektet GreenIndustrialAreas Projektet syftar till att minska energianvändning och utsläpp av växthusgaser från industrier och företag. Vi arbetar med innovativa lösningar för industriområden och företagsparker. Vid projektets slut ska kommuner ha bättre förmåga att arbeta med industri- och företagsparker för att de ska minska sin klimatpåverkan. Område : klimat och energi Typ av projekt : kunskapshöjande Mer om projektet Grön omställning i flerbostadshus Målet med projektet är att få fler ägare av flerbostadshus att energieffektivisera, producera egen energi och bidra med flexibilitet i energisystemet så att effekttopparna kan minska. Det gör vi genom att testa och demonstrera nya metoder och dela och lära oss av varandras erfarenheter på danska och svenska sidan. Fastighetsägare, energibolag, VA-bolag, kommuner och universitet samarbetar för att utveckla nya lösningar. Område : hållbar energi Typ av projekt : innovationsprojekt Mer om projektet Innovationsklustret Biokol Sverige Biokol och biooenergi från pyrolys är under snabb utveckling både avseende marknad och applikationer. Det finns ett tydligt behov av en nationell samling kring biokolfrågor ur flera perspektiv, framför allt gäller det forskning och utveckling, industri och marknad men även utveckling av policyer och regelverk. För att jobba effektivt med dessa frågor skapas ett innovationskluster för biokol och bioenergi från pyrolys. Område : cirkulär resurshantering Typ av projekt : innovationsprojekt Mer om projektet Malmö Energy Lab Utmaningarna med elförsörjningen i Skåne och förändrad omvärld har ökat behovet av att skapa ett lokalt hållbart energisystem i Malmö. Här kommer det delvis Vinnovafinansierade projektet Malmö Energy Lab att spela en viktig roll. I Malmö Energy Lab kommer industri, offentliga organisationer och energibolag att samarbeta för att säkerställa en resilient industri som bidrar till ett hållbart och robust energisystem. Område : energi Typ av projekt : innovationsprojekt Mer om projektet Power Bio Produktion av grön energi och högvärdiga produkter av gräs, tång och halm är målet med projektet Power Bio. Om vi lyckas kan biomassor som i dag är ett problem och en kostnad istället bidra till att mindre mängder fossila resurser används för t ex plast, flygbränsle och isolering av stenull. Vi kommer att vända oss till företag för att hitta metoder att samla in biomassor. Vi kommer att vända oss till forskare och företag för att hitta metoder för att förädla biomassor till mer högvärdiga produkter. Område : energi och cirkulär resurshantering Typ av projekt : innovationsprojekt Mer om projektet Retail ReLooped Projektet syftar till att hitta hållbara lösningar för att återanvända plast, innovativa returförpackningssystem och lösningar för att undvika förpackningar. Retail ReLooped strävar efter att bana väg för ett mer miljömedvetet och ansvarsfullt förhållningssätt till plastkonsumtion, för att minska dess skadliga inverkan på ekosystemet. I projektet Brokering cross-border innovation through clusters (BRINC) arbetar vi med att få kommuner att identifiera sina behov av innovationsupphandling för cirkulära lösningar. Det gör vi genom att sammanföra deras upphandlande enheter med företag. På så sätt får kommunerna dels kunskap om vilka produkter och lösningar som företagen kan erbjuda och dels vetskap om deras behov kan tillgodoses på sätt som de tidigare inte varit medvetna om. För företagen kommer vi att arrangera en rad olika aktiviteter som ska hjälpa dem att se vilka möjligheter de har att nå ut med sina produkter och lösningar till det offentliga. Projektet sträcker sig utanför Sverige och ger företag som vill blicka utåt möjligheter till kontakter med upphandlande organisationer. Med stöd av Energimyndigheten kommer NSR, tillsammans med Sustainable Business Hub, att etablera ett innovationskluster för biokol och bioenergi av pyrolys. Innovationsklustret Biokol Sverige Projektets övergripande syfte är att bilda ett effektivt innovationskluster inom biokol och pyrolysteknik. Klustret kommer att samordna aktörer i ett nationellt nätverk för att bidra till ett mer resurs- och energieffektivt biobaserat samhälle med fokus på negativa utsläpp. Flertalet potentiellt storskaliga applikationer introduceras för tillfället på marknaden, men flaskhalsar i form av produktionskapacitet, dålig kännedom om potentialen för biokol som kolsänka hos beslutsfattare, samt bristfälliga regelverk håller tillbaka utvecklingen. Klusternätverket syftar till att främja innovation inom biokolsområdet inklusive energi från pyrolys. Målet är att biokol och pyrolys ska spela en stor roll i klimatomställningen lokalt och globalt. I projektet kommer vi att jobba med följande aktiviteter: Stimulera innovation kring kolbaserade produkter och negativa utsläpp Öka kunskapen om potentialen med biokol nya applikationer och negativa utsläpp Branschöverskridande samverkan Sprida kunskap, delta i projekt kring biomassa, både nationellt och internationellt Projektet leds av NSR.
